What did the earliest versions of Jalopnik and Oppo (or Off-Topic, or whatever it was called back then) look like? I've only been here for a year, so I have no idea. Any archives out there?

I've been here about five years, and I really miss some of the guys I first friended here. Most of the ones who left in the first exodus went over to Hooniverse, so I see them there.

I like this version of Oppo, but I have to say, I enjoyed the last version better. The content seemed freer and people weren't trying to write legitimate articles in hopes of being FP'd.
Too bad I only got to use that layout for about six months.

It looks a lot like Jalopnik did last week. That's a compliment. I really don't know why Nick Denton went and screwed it all up.

I started reading Jalopnik in 2005, and it immediately became a daily go-to. Been through a lot of changes over the years, some good, some less so. I think Jalopnik really started to get traction during the Stefan Eriksson Enzo crash brouhaha.

Well, dang. You're probably one of the longest tenured jalops here.
I found this place last year. Chris Harris mentioned Jalopnik in one of his /Drive vids, so I figured I'd check it out. I used to get auto news in bits and pieces from various sites, but I come here almost exclusively now. Thank God. I was getting pretty tired of the comments on InsideLine, haha.

I was a huge fan of Jonny Lieberman and Davey G. Davey's Fast as a Shark series was sublime.
